Compliments!
Today is World Compliment Day (no, really, it's actually a thing...), so it made me think about how grateful I am for compliments. Some people have a knack for giving me a compliment on something when I've been feeling insecure about it, and it's always very much appreciated. I also strive to compliment people on something daily, whether it's appearance based or something they've done. The catch is making sure it's sincere. People can spot an insincere compliment immediately, and then they wonder if you're trying to manipulate them. But none of you wonderful, good looking, extremely smart and talented readers would ever do that, would you? ;)
On a side note (this has been the week for side notes, hasn't it?), I have been looking at Chase's Calendar of Events to make sure I'm not missing any holidays/big events, so when I post about a random day, such as World Compliment Day or Belly Laughter Day, that is my source. As a librarian, I felt like I needed to cite my source.
